The Mulberry Design Day

Here is how we work together

– You select from over 140 design styles for your new website
– I set up your new site structure for you before you arrive
– We will amend and complete your site together either online or in person
– We start with 4 or 8 pages but you can add more in our session together
– You choose your functionality, blog, testimonials, gallery, SEO  etc.

The site build takes 3 days in total

– 1 day of prep and build
– 1 day editing the design together
– 1 day tidy up and responsive testing

– Hosting for 12 months, including SSL and daily backup
– Domain name and email address
– Professional WordPress website that you select from a set of pre-made layouts and designs
– In person or remote design day session (5 hours)
– Lifetime theme license

Single Design Day
4 page – £1195
8 page – £1395

For large sites and if you would like extra design time to work together

Additional time is required for configuration and set up and includes an additional 2 hours for full e.commerce training delivered in person or via Zoom.

Your website wishlist

Before we start I will send you some instructions so I know roughly the pages you require and also any functionality you would like to implement on the day.

Remember to prioritise, we have one day together, start with your essential items and then nice-to-haves.

What is impossible in 1 day…

I have a double design day for clients who have a lot of pages or need more functionality!

We can work online or in-person

You can choose from either

Online – Mini Design Day
Mini design day – a 2 hour online session with me when we edit your site together.

In person – Full Design Day
Full design day – 5 hours of creative time with me in-person at a variety of locations to suit your schedule to create a fantastic site and pick my expert brains!

With each option you also have the option of a 30 minute WordPress training session, which you can take at the same time or save for later as an online Zoom session.

What happens on the design day?

I set up your framework and pages and any other technical bits around 2 weeks before our booked in design day

You get to choose the design in advance that I will set up before our meeting and we will work on together.

This is how our design experience goes together

  1. We spend 2 or 5 hours together either in person or online
  2. During our design day you can use the time to make design amendments, add in extra content and functionality.
  3. If you need another day don’t worry we can always book you in for an extra one.
  4. The day after we are finished I make sure that your site is fully responsive and works on all devices.
  5. We are ready to launch your new website.
  6. Once your site is live, or if you need further design help, training or amendments you can book in for extra time, I am here to support you.
Images & photography

Stock photography is included in the cost of your design day –  you can select anything from the iStock Essentials library at no extra cost.

Even better if you have your own brand photography or headshots.

Image ideas include:

Profile images
General images for use in the site
Blog or news story images
Partner/sponsor/accreditation logo files

Writing your content

You will need to provide the content for your site, or I can refer you to a great copywriter if you need one!

I will need all of your content two weeks before our start date to be able to begin, and once I receive that I’ll book a meeting with you to go through it all if I have any questions.

Logo and branding

If you already have a logo and colour palette these can be incorporated into your design.

Free Logo

A simple monochrome logo is provided free of charge with your site if you need one. I can provide a selection of designs for you to choose from.

This is suitable for use on the website only – if you need something a little fancier, or a logo you can use on a banner or for print then you may want to consider a branding package.

Branding Package

If you ‘d like a special logo designed for you I have negotiated a fantastic package with my graphic designer, to design a logo to represent your business in a format that you can use across all digital and print material.

This includes:

4 concepts for review
2 page branding document
Assets supplied in eps, jpg and png formats.
Unlimited revisions for small business owners

My designer will liaise with you directly on your logo to produce a series of designs for you to choose from and refine.

In addition your final logo will be available in the design you have selected plus a monochrome and white out version for use across all of your marketing materials.

Extra costs and annual renewals


Your first year of hosting is included in the cost of the site, and you will receive renewals annually from my hosting partner.

Annual: £95 + vat
Monthly: £9.95 + vat

Software Maintenance

You also have the option of an annual support contract with me to ensure that your site software is kept up to date.

Annual: £105 (no vat)

This includes a host of other benefits including a discount on my hourly rate.


E.Commerce option

WooCommerce is a customisable, open-source eCommerce platform built on WordPress. Get started quickly and set up a new store – Get secure payments, configurable shipping options, and more, out of the box without any license fee.

E-commerce doesn’t have to be time consuming or expensive. Using WordPress and WooCommerce it’s possible to get a small shop up and running in no time.  Starting your e-commerce journey with a small installation selling a small set of your best products is a great way to test the water without a huge investment in terms of time and money.

I’m calling it the ‘Pop Up Shop’, quick and easy to get it going.  Together we can get you online in under 10 days and sometimes even quicker!

To keep the cost affordable the express package gives the basic install and has everything you will need – but depending on the number of products in your shop or the volume of orders you are expecting, you may need some optional items.  I’m happy to advise on these, so it’s always good to have a chat before we start.
